Research work, 2009-10

This course requires the student to write a research paper of between 5,000 and 8,000 words on a topic of their choice in the general field of English Studies.
The paper should conform to the style sheet (see below) and should have the following sections: introduction (research question), literature review, hypothesis, methodology, results, discussion/conclusion.
The contact hours will mainly be one-on-one with the course coordinator.
Face-to-face sessions will address the following issues: topic selection, hypothesis development, the use of models, action research, questionnaire design and interview/text analysis.
